Vehicle & Buffer System

Prepared using Water for Injection (WFI) and includes a controlled excipient system commonly used in intranasal formulation research:

Sodium Citrate / Citric Acid Buffer System — maintains pH 5.5 for solution stability and controlled ionization environment 

     Glycerol — contributes to tonicity adjustment and spray plume consistency

Ascorbic Acid — included as an antioxidant stabilizer to help minimize oxidative degradation during storage and handling

Sodium Chloride —added to make the formulation isotonic, matching the natural salt concentration of the nasal passages to support consistent compound delivery

PEG 400 and Propylene Glycol— are included at approximately 10% (v/v) of the total formulation. To improve solubilization and maintain solution clarity, their incorporation supports physicochemical stability and enhances dose uniformity for consistent testing and evaluation.

Hydroxypropyl Beta Cyclodextrin (HPβCD) — Included to support formulation stability, maintain solution clarity, and enhance mucosal surface retention during atomization.
